Gorrick Square

Work started on this three bedroom, purpose built, detatched bungalow in late 2019. This scheme has been designed in partnership with Wokingham Borough Council (WBC) to meet the specific needs of three individuals with specilist care requirements.

Gorrick Square is a great example of Wokingham Housing (WHL) building homes to fit specific need in the Borough.

The new bungalow is to be built on unused Council land and benefits from a £135,000 specilist housing for rent grant under the Homes England Shared Ownership and Affordable Rent Programme 2016-2021.

Other specilist housing in Wokingham Borough

Gorrick Square is currently the only active, specilist development being built by WHL.

In early 2018 WHL completed the build of a specilist older persons independent living scheme in Woodley as well as a young care leavers scheme in central Wokingham. Details of these schemes and other established specilist housing developments can be found on the Loddon Homes website. Loddon Homes is WHL’s sister organisation who take ownership of developments upon completion to become the landlord and caretaker of these schemes.
